Thanks for that Simon.
However, and sincere apologies for this, I would prefer to try and work out
my code rather than use a "utility" (if you get my meaning). I'm determined
to get to grips with this DHTML/JS stuff . I've already got routines to
highlight menu buttons (using images) and to dynamically update screens
when a name is selected from a list. That all works fine and I'm very
pleased with the result. However, this problem with simply changing the
text colour under both Netscape and Explorer is really bugging me. Anybody
assist further ?
Oh, and Simon your reply wasn't wasted - you've directed me to a good site
which I'll be using in future ;)
Cheers,
David Artiss.
And whilst I'm at it I'd just like to thank everybody who's been helping me
recently with my various questions (spot the new person on the list !) -
it's been much appreciated.

David,
I downloaded a technote from Netscape "Cross-Browser DHTML Technote: API
For
Setting CSSP Properties From JavaScript", by "Eric Krock Technology
Evangelist". I don't have the URL anymore, but I'm sure you'll find it if
you
search developer.netscape.com. I just ask the API to change colours &
stuff &
it figures out how to ask each browser to do it. Currently cssapi works
with
IE 4 & 5 & Netscape 4. Since the article was on Netscapes's page, I guess
they'll upgrade it when their version 5 comes out.
Cheers,
Simon
