Titles & Divs

Good morning ;-)

I've run my new site through a validation tool and a couple of questions
have come out of it - any assistance you can give me will be much
appreciated.

1. I intend the site to be accessed via the main page and will be indexed
with the search engines this way. I therefore haven't got any meta-tags on
any of the other pages. I also don't have a title. The latter is the issue
- the validator is telling me I need a title. Is this just for standards
sake or is there a good reason why I should have one ?

2. I keep getting errors where I've used a DIV tag saying the ALIGN
parameter is missing. Huh ? An example can be found at
http://www.darkstorm.org/pulp/menu.htm. It's right in that I'm not using an
ALIGN parameter, but I didn't know I needed to.

(I'm using the HTML PowerAnalyzer by Talicom if anybody is interested)

Oh, and I get the digest of the list (and my email seems to eat them
occasionally - usually the one that's got the answers to one of my
questions in <grin>) so could you send replies to me as well as to the list
?
