Check out this site for copyrighting electronic media:
http://www.firstuse.com/index.htm
This is what they say they offer:=20
"Firstuse.com enables you to digitally fingerprint, time stamp and =
register any size or type of digital file ranging from ideas, business =
plans, scripts, songs, inventions, Y2K records, tax records, contracts, =
wills and trusts, web sites, software code, videos, and more."

I have not tried them yet, & am waiting to hear what everyone has to say =
about it.

The postal service of the United States (or any other country, for
that matter) is not a copyrighting agent. That is why a separate
entity exists. :)

What you're referring to is intellectual property. It's not federal
law. It's becoming more and more difficult to prove that one's work
is their own, that's why copyrighting unique ideas -- in the form of
digital copy or print media or... -- should be considered.=20

I'm not an expert on this, nor am I claiming to be. If you want
facts and figures, search the archives. Intellectual property law
has been an ongoing issue ever since I joined the hwg-business list.

It might not stand up in court, if you ever need to. Copyrighting is
an inexpensive ($20-30 USD) and GUARANTEED way to save your ideas
from being stolen and used for someone else's profit.
