G'day
Is there anyone on this list who has some input into the W3C?
I am really frustrated by the standard/recommendation - trying to set up my
site in 100% valid xhtml. Now, my site uses frames and I want them to be
invisible. Using frameborder="0" has no effect in the major browsers
(IE4/5.5, NN4.xx, Opera 5 and AOL 6). Only Opera 4 did what I wanted, in
valid xhtml. Using css to hide the borders had no effect in any of them.
Using border="0", which is not defined in the standard, does what I want it
to, in ALL browsers I tested. To me that means it is in fact a standard.
Anyone have a workaround? Or is there someone who can explain why it is
not included in the standard when it is so obvious that it has become a
standard?
