Hey Ya'll,
At the risk of suffering a fate similar to the asker of the infamous
"Masthead Question," I would like to pose a question that is rather
elementary. I need an explanation as to what the various parts of the
DOCTYPE Tag that my HTML editor generates on each page mean.
I know what DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC mean,
I know that W3C means,
What does DTD mean?
I know what HTML 4.0 Transitional means,
What does EN mean?
Thanks, and please don't tell me to look in a book, I already did (three as
a matter of fact), no luck there.
