Assuming you are using Windows 95 (98 is probably the same in this respect),
the icon is embedded in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHELL32.DLL
You could use an icon editor to extract it from there and save it as a
single icon. If you wanted to use it as a GIF or the like, you could just
extract it from a screendump - not sure if an icon editor will save an icon
as a GIF file.
