Elias and others:
Having a new window for individual news stories for example, is a very handy
thing. This also holds true for weather, or any other tid-bit of info where
the surfer needs only, to take a quick look. In almost every case, one would
be returning to the main "headline" page and simply closing the second
window allows an instant return without having to wait for a big
image-filled page to reload.
And sorry Elias--there is no elegant way. Closing after all, is another form
of goodbye. It is a lonely and inelegant event, filled with sorrow and woe.
I actually prefer the little "X" myself. It is a quick, clean kill and the
browser never feels a thing ...
Best wishes
