Hosting issueby "Steve burrill" <steve.burrill(at)celtic-web.co.uk> |

Please be patient with me if I have posted this to the wrong section as I am new to this. I am based in the United Kingdom and have just figured out that my site is actually being hosted on a server in America somewhere. This creates a problem when I use some off the shelf scripts, formail, guestbook etc. as these pick up EST (or something) rather than GMT so any output containing times is incorrect (from my perspective anyway). The company hosting my site (UK based by the way) tell me nothing can be done, so I am not well pleased with them. I realize that by default scripts will pick up the servers time, but I wondered if anyone could think of possible workrounds. ie. some sort of timezone statement that can be inserted into a script.
