Problems with Paint Shop Pro

Hi,
    I just downloaded a trial version of Paintshop Pro. I tried to open
Corel Drawing with the ext..of .cdr, & PSP keeps telling me it is not of a
proper format. I have the extension selected. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
