Perhaps I was a mite too suttle. That was exactly my point. And--that is why
I never use CSS to control font size; only font familys. However, I should
think that screen resolution, (I naively assume that Mac's, Unix/Linux have
such niceities), would affect apparent text size more than operating
systems.

You learn something everyday. OK, I'll bite. How does one "turn off" CSS in
your browser ?? Or is that what you ment??
