Hello,
Actually it is versions of IE below IE 5 that are the culprit. They open a
new blank email and the user has to fill it in. IE5 does support the mailto
command the same as NN does. A quick tip, add enctype="text/plain" after the
mailto: for a nicer format of the response.

Hi Linda. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
Not quite. The _receiving_ mail program shouldn't make any difference; it's
the
one used by the person filling in the form that may give you problems. I'm
saying that if your customer/viewer/form-filler is using Outlook as their
default mail program, they will have problems mailing the form. I tried to
do
this about six months or so ago; it worked fine with my Netscape Mail, but
did
not work fine with my client's Outlook. You could always test it again using
mailto, because the form would be the same (except the METHOD) whether
designed
to be used with Javascript or CGI.

Don't you think there would be a witty quotation here if I could think of
one?!
