Susan:
I read what you wrote but please remember you are dealing with the mentally
challenged here.
In IE-5 (latest update .2919) the only reference to Style Sheets I can find
is in the Accessibility screen found by clicking that button on the General
tab. This allows me to use a style sheet of my own, (assuming I have created
one), but I was never aware that it would "override" the style sheet, (an
actual .css file), that someone else had placed on their site.
Question: Are you saying that if I created a style sheet of my own using as
an example, Comic San MS as the font--then activated it and surfed to
Microsoft's site--that all their text on their site would now show as Comic
Sans, regardless of any CSS they might use??
Or am I in the wrong part of the IE-5 Options?? I went down the long list in
the Advanced section, item by item. I was especially observant at and near
the options for Java as you indicated. However, I could find nothing that
referred to styles or CSS.
One reason for my concern is that if the above is true, the mind boggles at
what an overriding personal style sheet might do to a page that has it's
layout formatting controlled by CSS.
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
Best wishes
