Not sure its just the browser. I have had more than my share of mysterious
problems under Win98. Win95 after a few years might get junked up, but
Win98 seems to do strange things. Its like every other boot screws up the
networking, or strange uae's out of the blue or a plug-n-play card gets
reassigned with different addressing and it quits working.
I gave up on it. I am running Win2000 now and am much happier. Instead of
two and three boots a day, there are times I don't reboot for a week.....
and thats out of habit. You can get an OEM copy for around $130 or so
searching at pricewatch.com
One of my machines runs dual boot, I have to use win98 occasionally, a few
programs I bought can't be reinstalled.
