You are, Anita, don't worry! :-)
IE = Internet Explorer = graphical web browser produced by Microsoft
NN = Netscape Navigator = graphical web browser produced by Netscape (also,
you'll sometimes see "NC" for Netscape Communicator, a suite of programmes
which includes Navigator)
We all slip into using just the initial letters for these things - less
typing involved. Shout out if there are any others you're unclear about
though.
