PNG is Portable Network Graphics. See:

MNG is Multiple image Network Graphics. See:
http://www.cdrom.com/pub/mng/
PNG is touted as the free replacement for static GIFs and MNG is its
animated cousin.
I did a Yahoo search for IAM--the results were interesting, but not
conclusive. I'll leave you to duplicate it for yourself. :)>
