Not that this is much help, but I usually give them the "HTML displays are
not word processing displays" speech. The only way to get pixel-perfect
alignment is with CSS, and those CSS tools that handle this are not yet
supported well enough to be seriously considered for any but the richest
clients.

I looked at your page, and I am not sure exactly what it is you are trying
to accomplish. I will, however, bet that you are going to need to modify
the original design because of the misconception that a monitor can achieve
the same results as a piece of paper. Why should it?

If you can't do it with tables, it ain't time to try it yet...maybe next
year...

Thank you for taking the time to help -- I've already done what you
suggested
and it works in Explorer but not in Netscape because of the differenent ways
the browser renders the page. I'm beginning to think this is impossible
because
I also have other alignment issues to deal with in addition to this -- such
as
the photo has to be so many pixels from the edge of the screen and the text
has
to line up with the tiny white line on the button that says Company Info --
the
whole layout is too precise and it's driving me crazy. I'm glad I'm almost
done
with it.
