Hi. I am fairly new to the list so greetings to all. I have been stoked
since joining and keep all the digests as reference. The tips and answers
have been proving invaluable to a beginner like me.
May I ask a quick question about inheritance in CSS. I have a fairly simple
page with a table in it that I am using to layout the page. The font
declarations for  the BODY selector of my embedded style sheet seem to be
ignored if the text is inside a table. However if I use an H2 selector I can
style the body text. As soon as I remove the table, the font declarations
for the BODY selector will work. I was using the table to keep the length of
the body text within a certain length but I have subsequently found how to
use the MARGIN declaration and have gotten past the problem. But could
anyone kindly tell me if tables effect inheritance. Many thanks.
