This is not exactly a html question, but I am hoping you-all can help me
with it anyway. I have been making pdf files to be downloaded off various
websites. Some of these come from clients - who normally send me Word
Perfect files to convert to pdf. These end up with huge file sizes - I think
because of all the formatting that WordPerfect puts in. All I have been able
to do is to check the 'optimize' box when saving the file to decrease the
file size. This doesn't do a fantastic job. You can see some of these at:
www.rushshows.com - click on one of the schedule pages & then one of the
PrizeLists and you will see what I mean. There are no graphics to speak of
on these files so I don't understand what is making the files so big except
for WordPerfect's formatting.
Does anyone know a good way to decrease the file size of these types of
files?
Thank you in advance for any helpful insights!
