The answer is rather simple.  The & (ampersand) has a special meaning in
HTML (and XHTML) 0 it is used to designate special character entities.  The
links however use them for passing data to a script (another use for the
ampersand character) and the validator does not know that.

The simplest (and valid/correct) way to overcome the problem is to change
all the ampersands in the links to &amp;

In case your mail program translates the code to an actual ampersand
character, here is a version that should show up properly: &amp;amp;
