Hi,
I'm having trouble transferring a client's domain name to my web host. The
domain is www.luckyladyllamas.com and her host is Lycos. Up till now I've
always just entered the DNS info and it worked fine. But Lycos says they
won't accept DNS info; they'll only accept IP numbers. So I got the IP
numbers from my host and entered them two days ago. A whois query currently
says:
Domain servers in listed order:
NS1.LUCKYLADYLLAMAS.COM 66.240.188.50
NS2.LUCKYLADYLLAMAS.COM 64.200.195.11
These IP numbers are for my web host, but my host (Onestop) says "They (the
DNS) must resolve to NS1.ONESTOP.net and NS2.onestop.net". I'm not familiar
with having to do it this way. Are some hosts listing the DNS's as the web
address itself? How can I change ns1.luckyladyllamas.com to ns1.onestop.net
if Lycos won't allow me to change DNS's? Will it transfer the way it is?
Thanks!
Beth
