  MS claims this is fallout from their lawsuit with Sun over the Java code
they were using in older versions of I.E.  Sun claimed MS was not supporting
Java properly even though they had a contract. As usual, MS was trying to
put things in that were their own.

 Negotiations broke down between MS and Sun while I.E. 6 was being written
so MS says they won't support it any more although they allow the DL of an
older pluggin. There will probably be no future support for Java.

  The truth is probably that MS sees Java as a competing product to .NET and
they know this will break a lot of Java server side code.  As usual they
will point the fingers at the other guy while they phase in their newest
duplicitous scheme to take over the world.
