Sorry for not being clear.
What I meant to express in my email was that if you have server side
validation of input, it does not matter whether the customer has
JavaScript enabled on their web browser. But if they do have JavaScript
enabled, their input is validated before hitting the submit button.
Thus JavaScript, in this instance, while not necessary for the form to
operate, adds ease of use to the customers experience of the web site
and the filling out of a form.
