A small videoconferencing company (Forgent) is laying a patent claim to
the ubiquitous JPEG format.
Forgent has a wide swath of the Internet in its sights, as it will
consider any company that doesn't pay to use JPEG a pirate.

So, it probaly looks like everyone who is creating JPEG's is probably a
pirate, and we did not even know it (at least according to this company)
