Netscape messes up background images in tables

Hi all,

I'd be grateful if folks could look at this URL for me and explain why
Netscape is screwing up so badly with the image I'm trying to use for
the table background. Please view in IE4/5 first to see how it SHOULD
look, then in Netscape 4+

IE4/5 and Dreamweaver handle it properly, but Netscape 4+ (I'm using 4.7)
creates a truly HORRIBLE mess by insisting on tiling the background image
in every cell, which is not what I've asked it to do. I've tried moving
the image out of the TD and into the TABLE tag, I've even tried nesting
my complex tables without background images inside a big plain table with
the background image, but Netscape still insists on 'bleeding' the
background image through into every cell in the other table and tiling
it :(

I cannot believe Netscape can mess up so badly. But maybe it's
something I've done wrong. Is it me, or is it yet another case of
Netscape's poor adherence to standards? Anyone know a workaround?

Please don't comment about the size of the graphics - I'm aware
they're big but I've been given brochure work in Photoshop and asked to
convert it for the web as faithfully as possible. Not normally
something I'm normally happy to do, but its a special case and the
client wants a quick result.
