Let's get GUI...

Hi,

My main client wants me to totally redesign the site I just built him.
This is a small inn in the redwoods. The boss wants a cartoonish drawing of 
the inn and surrounding area which will act as an image map. To see a room, 
you would click on a room, to see the local museum, click on the museum, 
read the winelist by clicking on a drawing of a couple drinking wine, etc. 
He wants it fun and above all...GUI. The GUIer the better. Minimal text.

My question is : Does anyone know of any sites that have made this type of 
format work? I really want to do my homework on this before I begin.
