basically the htm extension is a holdover from the old 8.3 file naming
convention ... and some servers and programs are configured to run that way
... my server uses htm others I publish to want html ... usually I write htm
and if I need to I can search and replace to add the l , but I have never
read or heard of a reason one is really correct vs the other .. just a
matter of what your software and server like to use ... but if there is a
technical reason to choose one over the other I would love to show it to my
sysop :-) .. then I don't need to always remember what server I am writing
for ....
