To "Frame" or Not to "Frame"

Hi all,

I am relatively new to web design and have heard mixed
reviews about frames. I have created two websites
using frames, which I am thinking of revamping to stay
away from such web no-nos. I can always create a table
with the links that currently reside in my frames area
but the time it would take to do this makes me rethink
my decision.

What has your experience been with frames? How big of
a mistake is it really to have frames on your site?
