Thanks. A lot depends on the e-mail client, I think. I use Mailsmith for
Mac and no URL *displays* as a link, just plain text. But I can
command-click either the fully-formed or the shortened URL to access the
link.

My first thought is that a link displaying the anchor tag is better than
no link and the user having to copy and paste into their browser. I'll
have to think about your suggestion before I tell her what to do. :-)
