I use it on Linux. It's faster than Mozilla and more compliant than NN4.
On Windows I generally use IE5 when opening, but will often grab the first open browger, which means get to see plenty of sites in Opera.
I expect Opera may increase in popularity as it beats down a few final irritants, such as a less-than-optimal handling of popups. It certainly does provide the user with lots of control, and it's a fast downloiad and easy install.
