Hi,
The a:hover is a style sheet rule
The anchor tag in html is being modified, an example would be:
<style type="text/css">
<!--
a:hover {color:red}
-->
</style>
This would make the text in a hyperlink (anchor tag) turn red when you hover
over it.
All of these rules and a great tutorial can be found on the Webmonkey site at
www.webmonkey.com.
2. The reserved characters ! don't you just love 'em?
The number code for the Registered Trademark symbol is ®
¬ is the Not Sign (whatever that is!)
Again visit Webmonkey for a list of these characters - it's in
webmonkey/kids/tools
Have Fun!

PS I have no affiliation with Webmonkey - it is simply a great site.
