Hi Beth:
Your question is one that should be asked since reading a lot text on a
monitor is difficult at best.
I tend to do a lot of research on the web and prefer to print my pages out so
that I can read them at my lesiure. So you should try the following:
- build your site so that it is narrow enough to print out (I hate it when I
lose the right hand margin because the page was designed too wide);
- offer a link to a "printer friendly" version
- offer the ability to download the page(s) as a PDF
- also, keep your graphics to a minimum if you're trying to emphasize the
body content
You can also do a bit of reading on layout of web pages - Jakob Neilsen,
