Hello List!

Hello Jennifer! :-)

I tend to agree that Comic Sans was originally meant for use in a "lighter"
setting than it is sometimes used. However, a couple of years ago, when I
was a new member of the Guild, I was struggling grievously with image
scanning. I posted my frustrations to the Graphics List, and was forwarded
the following link by no less than 5 or 6 people. I remember the excitement
I felt when I first visited the site...and, quite honestly, I *did* have a
moment of registering "...hey, that's Comic Sans...", but the info on the
site was so great, I ignored the font and literally devoured the content. I
have that site listed in my "Favorites/Favorites/Favorites" folder (that
is, I go there a LOT), and have never been bothered in any way by the
designer/author's use of the font. Check it out:

In all fairness to Jennifer, I do agree somewhat. I believe, however, that
if the impact of information on a site is strong enough, the font issue
becomes straw.

Just my thoughts...Happy HTMLing everyone!

Mike
