I have used a convention somewhat like this that causes images to order
acccording to the pages (or sometimes categories) on which they appear. If
there are, for example, three distinctive pages called
foo.html
soo.html
moo.html
All images appearing on foo.html take the form of fo_imagename.gif,
soo.html images are so_imagename.gif and moo.html images are
mo_imagename.gif.
If there are graphics/images that are thematic and appear on all pages,
like a corporate logo or a background tile, they get the title of
all_imagename.gif.
All these files are stored in an images directory that, when sorted on
name, is also sorted by the pages on which they appear.
