Hi Lori, As no one else has stepped in to this, I guess I'll go for it. You wrote: "So I'm wondering--should I just ignore the errors in webrings (don't these folks know how to write HTML?? ) , or am I using the wrong Doc Type or what?" Ignore the errors at the cost of your documents stability and reliability - no kidding. And NO "these folks" couldn't care less - based on the code they "force" you to use. In my experience, I have to say I have *never* run across a "web ring link" that validates under any DTD I have been able to find (I have even tried creating a DTD to make them work - and failed). When a customer "insist" I use them, I have them sign a waiver of my responsibility for the page/code. About 95% of the time they change their minds about the use of these links . . . very quickly.
