Ignore the errors at the cost of your documents stability and reliability -
no kidding. And NO "these folks" couldn't care less - based on the code
they "force" you to use.

In my experience, I have to say I have *never* run across a "web ring link"
that validates under any DTD I have been able to find (I have even tried
creating a DTD to make them work - and failed). When a customer "insist" I
use them, I have them sign a waiver of my responsibility for the page/code.
About 95% of the time they change their minds about the use of these links
. . . very quickly.
