To those of you who validate,

I am beginning a redo/refresh on a site that has well in excess of 100
pages. While some pages change often and are changed by different folks,
others are somewhat static or are my responsibility to maintain. All pages
will begin their new life by validating and those that I can control will
remain that way.

However, I do not wish to keep "chasing" DTD's. The redone/refreshed site
will stay current for approximately 2 to 3 years before going through yet
another metamorphosis. I plan on using CSS for font characteristics and a
very small amount of page layout. Most page layout will rely on tables
simply because browser support for CSS based positioning is spotty at best.
All that said, what DTD would those of you who pay atttention to such
things recommend?

Any and all input is appreciated,
