Hi all,
	Recently, I've had the very nasty experience of having my phone 
bandwidth reduced to 9.6K (a certain phone company in the UK uses 
radio technology rather than copper/optic landlines) and have discovered 
how horrible that surfing the web can be in such circumstances and so 
have resorted to turning off images to try and speed up the experience.

 Since my own website uses an imagemap as the only form of 
navigation, I was just wondering if there is any way to test whether the 
browser has got images turned on/is capable of displaying images so 
that I could display a text based menu if images were turned off.

As far as Death was aware, the sole reason for any human association with
