justify is not valid XHTML?

Hi all,
	I've just tried validating another one of my pages after converting it to 
XHTML, and according to the validator, <.p align="justify"> isn't valid 
XHTML.  I've checked the DTD on the W3C site 
(http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/REC-xhtml1-20000126/DTD/xhtml1-
transitional.dtd) and this is correct.  Has anybody any idea why this is 
the case?
