Tim,

You know what they say about assuming?  Somewhere along the line I 
saw a page coded w/o the beginning body tag using CSS, I checked the 
style sheet and they had the attributes for the body there. So I 
*assumed* you did not have to have that tag.

I validated the page, knowing it wasn't going to validate for other 
reasons, but wanted to know if I had coded the page correctly up to a 
point (because of the problems NS4.7 was having with the navigation 
links). It validated to about the middle of that page before 
detecting errors. Never mentioning that there wasn't a body tag on 
the document, so never even thought twice about putting the tag back 
in. 

Is my face red? Does the sun come up in the mornings?  ::sigh::

Again, thanks for taking the time with me to help me get over this 
hurdle. I may yet learn the ins and outs of CSS before having to 
resort to Prozac.--
