On a site that I run myself, I have a form that people fill out to 
either remove themselves from the project, change their addresses, 
etc., etc.

I probably should try and do the form in php, but since I am just at 
the "chapter 1" stage of teaching myself php, I need a stop gap (aka 
bandaid) for this form until I can get the form into php format.

The problem I am having is that there are two places you need to 
select/fill in the state or country you are volunteering for -- most 
people will fill in the first blank, but many do not select the area 
in the table, which causes the form to fail. There is a failure 
notice for them, but lordy I wonder how some of these folks know how 
to turn on a computer.

The reason for the two different areas for country or state is the 
first one (text area) inserts that into the subject line of the 
messages that go to the staff. The purpose of the 2nd selection is 
that it sends it to the correct staff member to take care of it.

I found a javascript that will give an alert if a radio button is not 
selected, however, it also pops up if you do select one as well (and 
I can't find the address to the person who created this javascript to 
see if he can come up with a solution).

Anyone out there have a solution?

Oh, if you feel the need to fill out the form to do a "test", please 
use section 10 in the table, and in the "Change of Act of Kindness" 
text area, put "TEST ONLY" so that staff member will know not to hunt 
for you on the site.
