G'Day Tom, Have you noticed whether this phenomena is weather dependent (ie water getting into a line where it shouldn't) ? If it is part of a network, a simple dead/dying 50 ohm terminator can cause similar problems. I noticed your .au prefix, so it's only fair to warn you that Telstra only guarantee 2400 baud for normal phone connections.
