I will agree with Ken on this: it sounds like a HTML problem not a
cross-platform compatibility problem. Chances are you've coded some links
as relative to the document (docs/index1.html) and some as fixed reference
(file///D|/inetpub/wwwroot/docs/index1.html) which would work on one
platform but not on the other (that example was from a PC) because Macs
delineate folders with a colon and PCs delineate folders with a backslash.
