Anne,
I've dropped my AoL, so I can't test this... but try a combo of
&lt;A HREF="http://junk-mail.com/"&gt;http://junk-mail.com/ &lt;/A&gt;

I've inserted the &lt; and &gt; in place of less-than, and greater-than 
symbols.
