Blocking CSS

I have CSS on the staff site of a consulting gig I do. I would like to 
block the CSS from activating on one table (the one with the schedule on 
it) is there a way to block the document stylesheet with a div or other 
tag? I need the style sheet so the page fits the rest of the site I would 
just like the certain portions of the schedule to have a different background.
