Here's a question.  Possibly a stupid question, but what the hey....

I have a 15" monitor set at 800x600. I design my pages with table widths 
set at 90% of the screen.  On my screens they have some empty space on the 
right side, which is the way I want it.

Will this look OK on a smaller monitor?  How about a larger monitor?  How 
about if a person has their display set at 600 x 480?
