Well, I'd like to be enlightened too. I nest tables all the time. In fact, 
probably 90% of the sites I design (using FP, Ultradev, of TextPad) use 
nested tables for layout purposes. I nest and nest and nest. And I've NEVER 
had one break in a browser, so long as I had correctly written the tables. 
Heck, I spend half my day on a Mac, and NN even on the Mac displays all my 
sites as intended. *G*
