Cookies and JavaScript

Help!

I'm trying my luck with cookies now.

I can set them and delete them, but when I try to get them back I'm having 
problems.

The page at: http://www.aboveboardlinks.com/counterpopupcookies.html

has the code and an example of what I'm doing. I'd really appreciate 
whatever help anyone might give me.
