Hello, Basics Members:

For those new members who may not know me, my name is Judi and I am one of 
the Basics List Guides who volunteer their time to insure the smoothly 
running of the HWG's mailing lists.  Let me also apologize to our new 
members for the recent lack of communications skills and awareness of our 
list charter exhibited by some of our members.

As you know, the HWG does not censor or moderate the lists.  Contrary to 
statements made, we do not silence or nuke folks either (all though I must 
admit at times I wish I could as comments such as that are uncalled for and 
inaccurate).

We have been of the stance that, for the most part, we are all adults and 
should know how to communicate maturely we each other - both on and off-list.

Since we assume that members will "place nice" and not bring petty 
bickering or personal attacks to the list disrupting members who are here 
to learn, we do not generally enforce Netiquette issues.  It is within each 
of our responsibilities to keep the list on topic and noise free as best we 
can.

The thread in question: Re: . . .  Solutions <read this> should now be 
considered closed as it has run its usefulness.  Further digs or insults or 
commentary on who said what should be kept /off-list/ as it is off topic.

Let's all work together to keep the list constructive, informational and 
content rich thereby regaining the community atmosphere we have for so long 
been known for.  If you don't like how someone says something - take it to 
private email.
