Maybe the point was lost - copy editors shouldn't necessarily be working on
coding and coders shouldn't necessarily be working on editing. It would be
*wonderful* if you could find somebody that does both - most of the time
that's not the case - although agreed that both disciplines should be
familiar with the other.
What you usually get is someone who is good at one job, and *mildly* capable
of the other. Then the job has to be done twice which comes out of the
designer's pocket, not the client.
Just my opinionated thoughts.... :-)
