You can't limit the number of characters in a textbox using HTML as far as I
know.

Either use a one line text boxes, if appropriate or there are scripts that
will limit the number of characters.

I am using a form on my site as a submission form for people to 
volunteer to do research (genealogy). The form can be found at the 
URL http://www.raogk.org/submit.html.

I use checkboxes and a textarea. I need to LIMIT the amount of 
characters that can be put into this textarea. I assumed (never do 
that <G>) setting MAXLENGTH at 75 would accomplish this, but found I 
was wrong.

I have looked in about all the places I know to look to see if you 
can limit the amount of characters, and find no reference that you 
can.

Any help would be appreciated.
