re:

And now my opinions: ( :) )
Myself I actively do not support lynx. I have no problems with a text only
browser.
And no problems with making sites disabled-able.
But I do have a problem with a browser that refuses to allow even some html
3.2, still fails on frames, and allows no client site programing, CSS, or
positioning.

adalbert goertz responds:

You have a problem alright. Who gave you the idea that LYNX fails on
frames?
I use LYNX exclusively on my Apple//GS, cant use any other browser,
but I can read frame sites. Takes a little longer, though,
but the speed of accessing websites is MUCH higher than
with graphic browsers.

My website is a text only site, so LYNX is the browser I write HTML for,
but also for netscape NN (just to please some graphics fans), and I think
it suits me just fine. LYNX potentially allows cookies, but most LYNX
sites disable cookies for obvious reasons.
Some people wonder how they can download LYNX. Well, you dont. LYNX is
installed on my UNIX-server and is the browser of default (LAP-M).

Dont forget those folks who have email only (like juno). They have
a harder time to access java and other graphics websites, but lynx-sites
are just easy for them to access.

Just check my site and see what a text-site with a little graphics may
look like.
